Trasfigurazione di Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo al Euroma2 is a 21st century public chapel at the Centro Commerciale Euroma2, which is a large shopping mall at Via Cristoforo Colombo 710in the Torrino zone.

The dedication is to the Transfiguration.

History[]

The biggest shopping mall in Rome was opened in 2008. In 2014, a public chapel was opened here by the parish of Santa Maria Stella dell’Evangelizzazione.

Appearance[]

The chapel is described as a tensile structure (tensostruttura), and is on a rectangular plan. The roof is gabled. The walls are actually printed to look as if they are in rough large rectangular tufo blocks laid in horizontal courses.

Location[]

The location is described as Parcheggio C esterno, piano terra, lato boulevard. This is by the main pedestrian access route.

Liturgy[]

According to the parish website (July 2018), Mass is celebrated on Sundays ONLY at 12:00.

There is no celebration on solemnities outside Sundays, nor on a Sunday if the shopping centre is shut for any reason.

The chapel is closed in July and August.
