History[]
The Povere Ancelle del Preziosissimo Sangue – Cenacolo della Carità was founded in Verona in 1948 by Don Giovanni Ciresola.
They have the one convent in Rome, in the parish of Santa Maria Assunta e San Giuseppe a Primavalle which is run by the Poveri Servi della Divina Provvidenza who are also from Verona.
After 2012, the sisters' chapel became public.
The community has been an important focus of social activity in a deprived locality.
The address is shared by the Primavalle headquarters of the Comunità di Sant'Egidio, which is at lotto 30 and which was their first foundation in the suburbs. One of its rooms is the so-called Cappellina di San Francesco.
Appearance[]
The chapel is in a tatty apartment block, and does not advertise its presence externally.
Liturgy[]
According to the parish website (June 2018), Mass is celebrated publicly on Sundays and Solemnities at 10:15, and in the Cappellina di San Francesco at 11:00.
