The Redemptorists (Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, C.SS.R.) is a Catholic congregation.

It was founded by St Alphonse Maria di Ligouri i 1732, with mission work among the poor in Europe and among non-Christians as its main purpose. The congregation was approved by Pope Benedict XIV in 1749; a female branch was approved the next year.

Because of the focus on missionary work, the members have been persecuted in many countries. Its head, the Rector Major, has his offices adjacent to Santa Maria di Perpetuo Soccorso, which was built for the Redemporists and is actually dedicated to the order's founder as well as to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
