Categories are used to make it easier to users to find an article. In order for the category system to work, there must be some order to it, otherwise it will just be confusing.
Articles on churches[ | ]
Articles on churches should always be categorized in the following way:
- By denomination
- By area
- By dedication
Common additional categories are Category:Titular churches and Category:National churches.
Articles on people[ | ]
Articles on people should always be categorized in the following way:
- By occupation (e.g. Popes, Cardinal, Artists, Architects)
- By nationality (may be a subcategory of the first, e.g. Italian artists or German popes)
