The territory of the diocese of Rome has one substantial portion outside the city limits, consisting of part of the township of Guidonia Monteceliio. The locality is called Setteville, an area of haphazard suburban development which straddles the city boundary.

An oddity is that the city boundary passing through the suburb also cuts through the territory of the parish of Santa Maria a Setteville, with the church being just outside the city limits.
